Everything in the city starts with the passport. It is your one identity. It is free when you sign up. You carry it into every room, every venture, and every vote.

It shows who you are, what you can do, and what you are looking for. It also holds a record of what you have actually done in the network. As you work, the passport fills up. It shows the titles you earned, the ventures you joined, and the standing you built. You cannot buy anything on it.

Joining is free, and it stays free. This is a founding promise, not a promotion. A free passport opens every door: the majlis, the feed, the ideas, and the ventures. New members also get a welcome grant of 1,000 UmafyUmafyThe money of the network. You earn it by doing real work. You cannot buy it. to spend in the city.

Verification is the one upgrade. A verified passport gives you a vote in governance. It also lets your work earn Umafy. One verified voice equals one vote. The economy knows its members are real people. You can pay for verification with your welcome grant. So during Genesis, this upgrade costs nothing for anyone who does the work.

Your passport also has a public side. Any member can be found at their own web address. It shows only what they chose to share. Privacy is enforced at the source, not by the page.
