The economy
The city has its own currency, and you cannot buy it. You can only earn Umafy one way: real work, done by verified members, inside the network.
Build something. Help someone. Show up. Finish what you promised to do. For all of this, the network pays you in UmafyThe money of the network. You earn it by doing real work. You cannot buy it.. Every payment goes on one record. New entries only get added, never removed. Nobody can create Umafy quietly, and nothing can disappear from the record. When you spend Umafy, it comes off your balance. But your lifetime total never stops counting, and that is what the standings rank.
How much you earn depends on the era. Right now we are in GenesisThe first era of the network — right now. Early work is worth the most.. The multiplier is at its highest point: 100 times the base rate. It will step down as the network grows toward ten million. The earliest work is the hardest and the most uncertain, so the economy pays the most for it. Being early always stays worth something.
Standing works the same way. Your rank comes from what you actually did: your earnings, the trust you built, and your part in governance. Rank moves through five tiers, from Member to Steward. There is no shortcut and no way to buy it. Only the economy gives you standing. Words alone do not.
One old rule binds it all: no RibaInterest on debt. The network will never use it, in any form.. The economy carries no interest-bearing debt, in any form. It is an economy built on work, not on debt.
