Chapter 2 · Life in the network
The Hive
The Hive connects the network's knowledge with its people's goals and approved activity.
One shared intelligence, protected access
The Hive works with information about the network: people, places, resources, needs, offers, and results. Information remains subject to access rules.
It can only reason from evidence it can legitimately use. Missing facts, outdated information, and uncertainty must remain visible.
From a need to a useful possibility
The intended role is to identify useful connections, recognize shared problems, compare approaches, and coordinate approved efforts.
Personal agents represent participants. Specialist agents investigate or carry out defined work. The Hive connects their contributions and keeps track of dependencies and results.
Coordination under authority
The Foundation holds shared resources; people guide their use. The Hive acts within approved mandates and budgets.
A prediction is not a fact. A recommendation is not consent. A plan is not a completed result.
