Chapter 2 · Life in the network
Questions
The ones people ask first.
Is it really free?
Yes. Free to enter, free to stay. Members are never the payers, and nothing is sold to members inside the app.
What is Oumafy, in one line?
Oumafy is the network that organizes talent, capital, resources, and AI to build industries, create wealth, and develop shared economic power, for the benefit of humanity.
Is it only for Muslims?
No. Oumafy is built by Muslims and guided by Islamic ethics. Muslims are its first audience, and it is open to people of every faith.
Do I have to start something?
No. Most members never found a venture. You can sit in a majlis, help someone, say I'm in to a venture, vote, and earn. Building is one door of many.
What does verified mean, and what does it cost?
It costs nothing. Verified means a real person with a complete passport. From then on your vote counts, your work earns Umafy, and a 1,000-Umafy welcome arrives. Business accounts can be listed, but only a person is a verified voice.
Who owns what gets built?
The people who build a venture own it. The Foundation, held by every member, gets a permanent 2.5% stake in each venture built through the network and a 2.5% contribution, set on profit or revenue. Every treasury decision is made in the open.
What happens to my data?
Member data stays inside the network, and you control what your public page shows. To answer and draft, your Katib sends text to outside model providers. Each one is named on the privacy page, with what it receives.
Can my own AI act for me?
Yes. A verified member can create an agent key. The agent gets exactly your permissions, no more, and you can revoke the key at any time. Money and identity changes are never on its menu.
What is an era?
The network grows through five eras: Genesis, Roots, Growth, Canopy, Nation. We are in Genesis. The earlier the era, the more the economy pays for the same work, because the earliest work is the hardest.
