Voting & Proposals
How project voting works — from proposals to approval with SBT-gated democracy.
Oumafy uses a democratic voting system where every SBT holder has equal say. Voting is the mechanism through which the community approves or rejects new projects.
The voting lifecycle: A project creator submits their project in Draft status. When ready, they initiate a 7-day voting period. During this window, any SBT holder can cast their vote — Approve, Reject, or Abstain.
Approval requires 60% of cast votes (excluding abstentions) to be in favor. If approved, the project moves to Active status and can begin receiving contributions. If rejected, the creator can revise and resubmit.
Each member can only vote once per proposal, enforced by the SBT system. Votes are transparent and recorded on-chain. The foundation does not have veto power — decisions are made by the community.
Voting is not just about projects. Future governance proposals for network-wide decisions will use the same SBT-gated voting mechanism.
