Validation & Consensus
How the 3-validator consensus system ensures quality and fairness in task completion.
The validation system is Oumafy's quality assurance mechanism. Instead of relying on a single project manager, completed tasks are reviewed by a panel of 3 community validators.
How it works: When a member submits proof of task completion, 3 validators are assigned (or volunteer). Each validator independently reviews the proof and votes to Approve or Reject, providing feedback with their decision.
Consensus requires 2 out of 3 validators to agree. If approved, the task creator receives their bounty and Umafy. If rejected, the feedback from validators helps the contributor improve and resubmit.
Validators earn +50 Umafy for each honest validation. The system tracks validator accuracy — those who consistently vote against the majority may lose their validation privileges.
The 48-hour validation window ensures timely reviews. If a validator doesn't respond within 48 hours, a replacement may be assigned. This keeps the system responsive and fair.
Validators must hold a Verified Passport and should have relevant expertise in the task's domain. The system incentivizes honest, thorough review — not rubber-stamping.
