Creating a Project
Step-by-step guide to proposing and launching a project on the Oumafy network.
Any member can propose a project on Oumafy. Projects go through a lifecycle: Draft → Voting → Active → Completed. Here's how to launch yours.
Step 1 — Draft your project: Navigate to Projects → Create Project. Fill in your title, description, pitch text (this is what voters will see), category, tags, and optional funding goal. Choose a memorable slug for your project URL.
Step 2 — Build your team: Add initial members from the Members tab. Assign roles (Admin, Contributor, Validator) and initial equity allocations. A strong team increases your chances of approval.
Step 3 — Start voting: When ready, click "Start Voting" to open a 7-day community vote. Write a compelling pitch — this is your chance to convince the community your project deserves support.
Step 4 — Launch: If approved with 60%+ votes, your project moves to Active status. You can now create tasks, post bounties, and start building. Track progress through milestones.
While in draft status, you can edit or delete your project at any time. Once voting starts, the project is locked — no changes can be made until the vote concludes. Tips: Be specific about your goals, timeline, and how contributors will be rewarded. Projects with clear milestones and fair equity distribution tend to get approved more often.
