Privacy and terms

This page is the policy. There is no longer version behind it. It says what the network keeps about you, where it goes, what it never does, which switches you hold, and the rules of the place. If a line is unclear, write to [email protected] and a person answers.

Who runs this

Oumafy is built and run by its founder, Sayed, on servers the network rents and runs itself. The app lives at oumafy.com. This site, oumafy.org, is the public front door. Questions about your data go to [email protected].

What we keep

  • Your passport. The lines you typed: name, photo, what you are building, what you offer, skills, bio, why you are here, interests, languages, and three lines you can share or keep private: location, availability, and links.
  • Your acts. Posts, videos, ideas, nods, backs, the rooms you entered, the ventures you joined, and the standing they earned you. A member’s record is the point of the passport, so it is kept.
  • Your messages. Stored encrypted. The app opens a thread only for the two people in it.
  • Your votes. Sealed while a vote is open. Nobody, including us, can read a ballot before the vote closes. The roll call opens when it closes.
  • Your Umafy. Every movement of the network’s currency, written once and never edited.
  • Your sign-in email. Kept only in the sign-in system. It is never on your public page and never given to another member.
  • What you asked for. When you ask the network for something, the ask becomes a row: what you want, whether it is a thing or a service, the city and the budget you named. Sellers inside the network are told someone is looking. They are never told who — a name reaches a seller only if you take their answer.
  • What your agent proposed. Every move your agent put in front of you and what you decided — Yes, Not this one, or Never this kind. It is kept so the same thing is not proposed to you twice, and so you can see what was done on your word. Your agent proposes; it never decides.
  • Usage. Which pages you open and what you tap, under your member id, unless you switch it off. Never what you type.

Where it goes

Inside the network. Member data is not sold and not shared for money. Sellers inside the network can answer what you ask for and, if you leave the offers switch on, reach you with an offer your own agent judged worth your time. Nothing about you is sold, and your data never leaves. A few outside services do a job for us, and each one sees only what its job needs:

  • Your public page. Any member has a page at oumafy.com. It shows only what you chose to share: name, photo, standing, skills, and the lines you switched on. Privacy is enforced at the source, not by the page.
  • Pictures. Your photo and any picture you upload sit in a public store. Anyone with the exact link can load them, so do not upload a picture you would not want seen.
  • Oumafy AI. What you type to your agent, the parts of your passport it needs to answer, and the text it drafts for you all go through OpenRouter to a DeepSeek model, which writes the reply or the draft. Voice notes and the search index go to OpenAI. None of them receives your messages, your votes, or your wallet.
  • Email. Letters leave through Mailjet, so Mailjet holds your address to deliver them.
  • Analytics. PostHog records which pages you open and what you tap, under your member id, so we can see where people get lost. The switch on your passport’s Data page turns it off, on every device.
  • The pipe. Cloudflare stands in front of both sites and sees the traffic, the way any doorman sees who walks past.
  • Copies. A copy of your passport you sign out carries only your name, username, join month, verified state, tier and titles. It expires after 90 days. You choose who to show it to.
  • Keys. An agent key you create acts as you, with exactly your limits. It cannot touch money or identity, and you can revoke it any time.

What we never do

  • Sell your data. To anyone, for any price.
  • Sell your attention. Nobody outside the network can reach you, and nobody can buy their way to the top of what you see. A seller inside the walls can answer what you asked for, or call at your agent’s door — at most three times a week, only if you left that switch on, and their offer is checked against the network’s rules before you ever see it.
  • Read your messages. The app opens a thread only for the two people in it.
  • Charge you. The city is free to enter and free to stay. Members are never the payers.

The switches you hold

All of them are on your passport at oumafy.com/passport.

  • Shared or private. Location, availability, and links each have their own switch on the About page.
  • Who may message you. Set on the passport’s edit page.
  • Which letters we send. Seven kinds, each with its own switch on the Mail page. Password resets and security notices cannot be turned off; they keep the account yours.
  • Usage analytics. On or off, on the Data page. Off means nothing from your account is recorded, on every device you sign in on.
  • Your agent. On or off, on the Data page. Off means your agent proposes nothing; asking it still works. “Never this kind” on any proposal is listed there too, and undone there.
  • Offers. On or off, on the Data page. Off means no offer you did not ask for ever arrives; what you ask for still works. The same page sets how many a week, whether your city is used, and which kinds never reach you again.
  • Your agent keys. Created and revoked on the Keys page. A revoked key stops within a minute.
  • Your copies. Any copy you signed out can be revoked on the Copies page.

Cookies and storage

Signing in stores a session token in your browser so you stay signed in. PostHog stores its own identifier in your browser unless you switch analytics off. Cloudflare may set a security cookie. No outside service sets a cookie to follow you, here or anywhere else.

Children

Oumafy is not for children under 13. If you learn that a child holds a passport, write to [email protected] and it will be removed.

The rules of the place

  • The city is free. Free to enter, free to stay. Members never pay for anything here, and nothing is sold inside the app.
  • Your passport is yours. You can sign out a copy and carry it. Anyone can check its signature at oumafy.org/verify without asking us.
  • What you post stays yours. By posting it you let the network show it to members, in the place you posted it, for as long as it stands.
  • Six rules bind everyone. No riba. No haram industries. One verified voice, one vote. Dignity for every member. Every treasury decision in the open. No leaderless vacuum. They are written in full in the Book at oumafy.org/city/governance, and a matter raised in governance is how the rest gets decided.
  • Ventures pay the Rain. A venture built through the network agrees to 2.5% of equity and 2.5% of profit to the Foundation, which every member owns equally. Nothing more, nothing less. Members pay nothing.
  • What breaks the rules comes down. A post or a room that breaks these rules can be taken down. Any member can report one from its share sheet.
  • Leaving. On your passport’s Data page, tap Leave the network and type your username. Your name, photo, bio, links, private messages, AI memory and sign-in are erased at once, on every device. Your posts, votes, backs and Umafy record stay under “A former member”, because the network’s ledger cannot have holes in it. There is no undo, and nobody can do it for you.
  • Changes. When this page changes, the date at the foot changes with it.
